I have been a Certified Public Accountant since 1977.  I specialize in business consulting, tax, and accounting.  I am a native of Harrells, N.C., and have called Wilmington home for over 30 years.  I am a member of both the American Institute for Certified public Accountants and the N.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants. 

I remember as a child sitting down with my parents while they had their taxes prepared by their accountant.  I watched and observed the preparation of their tax returns.  My fascination in tax continued to kindle while I was in high school; where I had the opportunity to learn about bookkeeping. It amazed me how valuable a correct set of books could be.  It made me so happy when I was able to help my parents organize their finances.  It was at this moment that I made the decision to become an accountant.

I graduated from Wake Forest University in 1974, with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.  After working for others for three years I decided, with the support of my loving wife, to start my own accounting firm.  We started in 1977 and have been in business ever since.

I have kept our firm’s focus on working with small and mid-size businesses.  I believe in the team approach.  My staff of certified public accountants assists owners with taking their business to the next level.  My staff works with you to provide your business with current solutions to your business and tax issues.  Our goal is to help our clients plan their maximum profit potential while paying minimum legal income taxes under the current tax law.
