Steve Smith has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1977, and a Registered Investment Representative since, 2000. He is a native of Harrells, N.C. He has called Wilmington home for over 30 years. He is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and the N.C. Association of Certified Public Accountants.
As a young boy, Steve remembers sitting down with his parents' accountant and watching the preparation of their tax returns. He was a student of bookkeeping in high school and he saw the value of a correct set of books. Steve soon realized he could help his parents organize their finances. His fascination with bookkeeping and tax law led him to devote his life to accounting and assisting companies and individuals with their financial reporting, tax preparation, and planning.
Steve graduated from Wake Forest University in 1974, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. He realized his dream by starting an accounting firm in 1977.
